sunrise

My favourite time of day for taking photographs is right at the start of the day.  I find the light better than at dusk, and there are fewer people about at 5am - most sensible folk are tucked up in bed at that time, particularly on the weekend.

The picture below was taken at Port Eynon on the Gower peninsular very early in the morning in March 2014.

The picture to me signifies the hope that the dawn of a new day brings.  Every day I feel better and stronger and bad days (although they do still occur) are becoming fewer and farther between.  (I'm now desperately trying to find some wood to touch for fear of jinxing myself!)

Anyway, I hope you agree the picture was worth the early start to the day and the drive to Port Eynon?

  2. Excellent news Nick......will call round soon but have been very busy in the house...........painting, new wardrobes, new carpet and it all has to be finished before we return to Spain in 3 weeks. Also we've both had colds so haven't wanted to risk passing anything on that would impede your recovery.
