weeds are flowers too
In this age of equality for all, I think it's fair that the humble weed gets the recognition it deserves.
I love dandelions in particular. Their structure fascinates me and makes me think that something so utterly inconsequential and abundant should be such a complex structure and complete life cycle.
They are, in one word, absolutely beautiful.
On one of my regular walks, I decided to try and photograph the three stages of a dandelion's life from flower, through the full "clock" seed head to its demise.
All images were shot handheld with my Fujifilm X-T5 and 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 lens. Camera settings were f5, 1/125th of a second and ISO of 800.
I'm so happy with the final image, and actually think it's one of the best images I've ever shot.
Of course, I filmed the whole experience for posterity (and YouTube) and you can watch it just by clicking below. It's all witchcraft I tell ye...
YES! That final shot is a winner!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDelete“Absolutely beautiful” - two words! But they are indeed absolutely beautiful.
