chicks dig scars...don't they?
While I’m
pondering the state of my health and awaiting my scan, I had to visit my GP today to see
the practice nurse for a vitamin B12 booster injection. I’ve been having these for a while now and I
don’t like them. The needle is very
large, and the injection goes right into my shoulder muscle. It’s very painful and to cap it off I usually
feel unwell for a while after it for some reason. Today was no exception.
Anyway,
after giving me my injection I asked the nurse to have a look at a lump on my
back that is causing me a bit of a worry.
She did but wouldn’t be drawn into guessing what it is. It’ll have to wait for the scan.
While she
was examining me though, she complimented me on the scar I proudly wear on my
lower back from my spinal surgery. Now I’ve
always avoided looking at it but after my nurse’s comments I was curious about
its appearance and I asked my daughter to take a picture of it for me and she
obliged.
It really
is quite a sight. Very neat and very (about 9 inches) long.
I always
fancied a duelling scar on my cheek (all the dashing young men used to have one
you know) but now I have something far more impressive; albeit out of sight.
Look away
now if you’re squeamish!
nice pants man
Well, whaddya think of that then?
OUCH!!! (I'd show you my scar but that would be totally inappropriate! lol)
