While we were away, some rather splendid things happened.

 

My tiny YouTube channel reached 1500 subscribers while also topping half a million views!  Superstardom as an “influencer” obviously awaits!  When does the cheque arrive?

 

Putting my now stratospheric social media status aside, something far, far more important happened.  I got a picture of a, wait for it… TREE CREEPER!!

 

Yes, after I gave up sitting for hours at the place where I first saw one, while I was topping up the feeders in my local woods, I caught something clinging to a nearby tree.  I turned to look but it ran around the other side of the tree confirming its status, in my mind at least.

 

I waited a while, keeping as still and as silent as I could and back around, he came.  I was waiting with my camera pre-focused where I thought he’d appear, and he duly obliged.

 

Forget the fame and I’m sure shortly to arrive fortunes, this picture tops it all.
