a truly depressing sight
One of our most favourite places in the whole world lies around 20 miles north of our home - Craig y Nos Country Park. We visit there regularly, usually two or three times a month, but haven't been since last November.
The reason for our absence was due to the park being shut after Storm Darragh ripped through the region late last year, taking down many trees in the park.
We decided to make our first visit back there last week, and the sight that met us was thoroughly depressing. There were signs on the way there in the form of the valley sides which had been de-forested by the high winds the storm brought.
But it couldn't prepare us for the sheer devastation that met our eyes. I haven't got the words to describe it here, so I'll point you in the direction of a short video I shot there - it's linked just below.
I did shoot a couple of images of a robin and some snowdrops to cheer me up.

Did I ever tell you that your command of the English language is really good and much better than your Spanish language?
