I promised

I really did. 

I promised my wife last week that I would not buy any more camera gear.  This was after I got myself a lovely 50mm lens and a new camera bag that I didn’t need needed.  After all I’ve got everything I need now.

Apart that is from a compact camera that’ll keep in my jacket pocket and therefore will always be on my person when the need arises.  Or even when it doesn’t.

Anyway, no matter as there is nothing available that floats my boat and the camera in my iPhone is OK.

Except that it isn’t really.

And now Nikon has announced a new range of upmarket compact cameras.  They look absolutely gorgeous.  Well, as gorgeous as a camera can look.  I’ve no doubt my local camera shop (or as I prefer to call it, heaven on earth) will soon stock them and then I’ll just have to go and see them won’t I?  And pick them up.  And try them out.

But it’ll be OK.  Because I promised…
