so, its 2018

…and one of the first things I’ve decided is to devise a timetable or routine for this blog.  Instead of posting randomly, I’m going to post on a Monday and Thursday.

Mondays will be a photo type entry, hopefully of something I’ve taken over the weekend; while Thursdays will be more of the same inane drivel that I know you’ll miss after all this time.

So, all that remains is to post this week’s picture and then get around to thinking of something to write about for Thursday.

I'm currently staying with my sister in Kent, and this is a picture taken at St. Giles Church in the village where she lives, Shipbourne.  I hope you like it?  I used a polarising filter to eke out any colour in the sky, and then a 3 stop filter with a small (f22) aperture to slow the exposure down and capture movement in the clouds.

I wouldn't normally shoot at f22 as this can take away some sharpness from the picture, but I had to borrow Corinne's filters as I'd forgotten mine and the strongest she had was the 3 stop one so needs must.

See you all on Thursday!
