crisis, what crisis?

When I started writing this blog, I decided there were certain things I would refrain from commenting on, and the main one was politics.

For obvious reasons.

But today I am going to break that rule.  Because I am dismayed at the current state of affairs here in the UK.

The country is facing possibly its biggest constitutional crisis since WWII, and where are the politicians to drag us out of it?

The current crop, regardless of political persuasion, are the most talentless, worthless and egotistical bunch to grace any stage.  I wonder whether it’s the result of their constant cuts to education coming home to roost.  Or bite it on the backside more like.

it must be the hair...

Surely there must be someone, anyone, with the statesman like qualities to make himself or herself known and guide us out of this deep political malaise we find ourselves in?

I look back at the politicians we have had during my voting life, and whether I agree with their political stance or not, at least they had leadership qualities; instead of the mealy-mouthed crop of “what’s in it for me” dullards who want to be in or oppose power right now.

Perhaps it’s a case of getting the leadership we deserve, but come the next General Election, I am seriously considering a protest vote – by not voting at all.  I don’t think there is anyone worthy of my “cross”.
