walking in a woodland wonderland

I'm not normally allowed out on my own these days.  My family worry that I will fall or collapse or something so they like to keep me on a close lead where they can keep an even closer eye on me.

So, my days of getting up to photographic mischief are well and truly over.  Until yesterday (2 October) that is when I was able to persuade them to let me explore our little local patch of woodland for an hour or so.

And off I duly strolled - very slowly down the hill with my camera bag and my tripod to see what gems I could photograph.  I came away with three images I was quite happy with, and here they are:

(all three were shot with my Fujifilm X-H2 and Laowa 65mm f2.8 ultra-macro lens)

1/15th of a second at f5.6, ISO 64
tripod, remote shutter release
10-shot focus bracket stacked in Helicon Focus

1/6th of a second at f5.6, ISO 64
tripod, self-timer release

1/4 of a second at f8, ISO 64
tripod, self-timer release
4 shot horizontal panorama blended in Adobe Photoshop

I'd mistakenly left my camera's ISO setting at 64 after a previous shoot (the result of which you'll see in due course!).

And, of course, I filmed my solo expedition, and you can see the fruits of my labours along with more images from the excursion by clicking below:
