mojo
I haven't posted anything on her for a while and realised the other night while texting a friend that I had lost my "mojo".
This tragic loss is something that musicians, artists, writers, etc. apparently suffer from time to time.
But I'm not a musician (unless drummer counts), artist (unless my photography counts) or a writer (as anyone who has read this blog can testify). So that just leaves etc., and I don't think I'm one of those either.
Whatever, my mojo is definitely missing.
Not only is my blog suffering but despite having a wealth of time on my hands I can't get round to taking any pictures either. Granted I'm restricted in what I can do at the moment due to my lack of mobility but I've been given loads of great ideas for indoor photography and even bought myself a book to see if that would gee me up a bit.
It didn't.
I bought myself a new professional photo printer. That would help - surely? Maybe it will, but on its arrival and unpacking, I realised I need to re-design my office space as the thing is absolutely massive! It's wireless though so can be placed anywhere and I've explained to my wife that the chest of drawers in our bedroom was the ideal size for its temporary resting place. Judging by the look on her face this is just a very temporary solution.
So, if anyone has my mojo could you please mail it back to me. On the other hand, I've always fancied having a muse. Does anyone know where I can buy one?

Your mojo may have gone walkabout Nick but your sense of humour is still well and truly intact. Enjoyed our natter earlier and it was good to see you looking so well. Keep up the good progress and your aspirations will soon be realised.
ReplyDeleteThey (muse and mojo) do take 'vacations' sometimes don't they....? I worry they won't come back but they always do. I think they just need time to recharge, so don't fret too much. BTW you ARE very much an artist/writer! I can't attest to drummer, though. Will have to take your word on that! ;)
