colour me obsessed
Over the last few days I have
become completely engrossed in the world of…………….
colouring.
Yes, colouring. But the grown-up kind with really complex
patterns and hugely detailed pictures.
It is completely addictive. I
think this is because it totally takes you away from every day drudgery and problems,
with the concentration required meaning that any outside interferences are most
unwelcome.
Beside the addiction I have
discovered a number of things, including:
- - colouring
is up there with Spirograph for grown up kid’s stuff
- - you
can easily lose 2 hours of your life
- - Sharpies
are the greatest invention since sausages
- - I
stick my tongue out while I’m concentrating hard
- - getting
ink on the table is a big no-no.
So, while the evenings are still
dark, I can be found at the dining table with paper and pens in hand completely
ignoring everyone else to the point that no one now speaks to me while I’m “creating”.
After all, I don’t want to go
outside the lines.
YES! It's very Zen! :)
