St. Davids (pop'n 1370)

Before I got ill, we used to spend loads of time travelling around our home area to places like Hay on Wye, Brecon, Crickhowell and, my favourite, St. Davids in Pembrokeshire.

Being the proud location of a cathedral, it ranks as the smallest city in the UK (maybe even Europe or the World too) and it’s my favourite because it’s near the sea.  There are also loads of other lovely places nearby all within a 90 minute or so drive from my home.  The Pembrokeshire coast is a truly wonderful place and on a sunny day (well, any clear day really) rivals anywhere in the World (yes seriously) for breath-taking scenery and views.

I hadn’t been there for ages.  Until today that is when I decided my TT needed to be released from its mothball state and driven seriously.

It was a beautiful day – blue skies, quiet roads and as I said above, stupendous scenery.  OK so I can’t get out and walk about the place like I used to but there are some great views to be had from the car or at least within a manageable walk from it.

I’m not leaving it another few years before going back as today brought back some happy memories of the area and better times.

And also because I forgot to take my camera so had to make do with my phone.

    1. I think the bright blue is down to the pano mode on my iPhone causing banding - it wasn't that blue!
