duck

I am seriously impressed with my newest lens: a Fujinon 55-200 f3.5-4.8.

I deliberated over buying a telephoto zoom lens for some time.  I looked at Fuji’s other serious zoom, their 50-140 f2.8 and while that would have given me a constant maximum aperture throughout the zoom range, I would have needed a tele-convertor to make the lens really usable for me, so I went with the less expensive (I can’t call it cheaper) lens.

And I couldn’t be happier.

The images are so crisp and sharp and “contrasty” throughout the whole zoom range.  All you could want from a lens really.  I think this close up shot of a duck shows off the properties of this lens.  As yet, I’ve yet to find a down side to it, and it now lives on my Fujifilm X-T2 almost permanently.
