just sometimes...

I have an image in my mind that I want to make.  It’s of an old barn above the Neath Valley, in the early morning light during Autumn with either a hoar frost or mist rolling over the landscape.

So, naturally I went there the other week at sunset during the hottest part of the Summer!

The reason for my visit though was to scout the location for the composition I want later in the year.  But I got this lovely image of the sun setting through the trees to the right of the barn and lighting the mid-level clouds in the sky beautifully.

I’m still going to get back there when the conditions I actually want are present, but until then I’m happy with this “warmer” capture.

Why don't you do a four season series, winter, spring, summer and fall....all from the same vantage point. That would make a nice collage.
