summer is on its way

My least favourite season is upon us - sigh…

Long days and short nights which used to be my most favourite are now dreaded.  The only real consolation can be found in nature with both my garden (see last week's post) and locality coming alive with flora and insects.

I've vowed that if I'm able I'm going to try to get out once every few weeks to document my natural surroundings.  I'm lucky that living on the very outer fringes of my home city affords me this luxury.

This week's image was shot on the first of these hopefully regular walks, and is one I spotted right at the end of my ramble.

Hopefully this is the first of many summer images, and who knows, I might even continue through the autumn and winter too.  Actually, that's a really good idea for a project…

  1. Lovely! And just think of all those unfurling ferns you'll be able to capture! :)
