I didn't know whether to take a photo or make an omelette

A few years ago, during the pandemic lockdown, I found myself similarly bored to the day I tried oil and water photography and decided to copy the work of a photographer I'd been reading about - Josef Sudek.

He took still life shots with everyday, mundane objects as his subject matter, and the challenge really was to recreate the lighting he used, which was all natural window light.  My attempt was rather futile, and I failed to replicate the aged look to his images.

Now, having recently won an internet auction where the "prize" was a load (and I mean a load) of vintage cameras and lenses, I decided to use one of the lenses, adapt it to my digital camera and have another go.  And here is just one of the images I ended up with:

tripod, self-timed release
