the last days of summer
I think it's fair to say that this summer has been awful. I can remember only a handful of really sunny, warm days with the rest being either wet, cold or both.
And the garden has really suffered as a result. Yes, we had some lovely blooms, but they did not last long sadly and as I write this on 27th August there are only a brave few plants still flowering.
Anyway, here are just two - some blue flax and some lobelia:
