longing for the summer
I'm not a summer or warm weather person these days. But when it's stormy outside, freezing cold, wet and really windy I can't help but pine for some summer sunshine!
So, when faced just last week with just such a stormy day, I looked back at some pictures taken in August, just to warm the bones a little, and found these lovey images and they straight away transported me back!
It was a hot, sunny day and I was sat in my garden watching a tiny sawfly as it went about its business collecting nectar and basically just trying to survive another day. It was absolutely fascinating to watch and luckily I had my camera at hand to record the moment.
Now, there are not technically well executed, so there's no need to share the data from the camera, but they are an important reminder that a picture is not about its technical proficiency, but it's all about the memories that it can evoke.
And these two do that in spades.
