soft rock
No, not a musical reference but the other day in my garden I spotted a lovely little scene which I felt compelled to then photograph.
We have an upturned iron fire pit amongst some ferns and when it rains it fills with water. And to ensure any smaller creatures that might fall in to be able to escape drowning I've placed some rocks to form a sort of bridge to safety.
Anyway, a dahlia flower head had become detached in really heavy rain and landed on top of a rock in this little "pond" of mine and together with some dislodged petals looked really quite nice.
