another "guess what this" is kinda post

Sometime last year I photographed the side of a terracotta pot which, if you used your imagination, looked like an aerial shot of some fertile green land somewhere.  I'll pop a link to it here.

Anyway, here's another shot from my garden which might just leave you scratching your head for a bit.  Is it some shot from the skies again of a dried up alluvial flood plain, some volcanic flow or even a canyon somewhere; on Mars maybe...

nope, it's simply just some tree bark, fallen from a log!
