it's not just photography that inspires me

Regular readers will know that I've been making videos lately looking at photographs that I particularly like or from photographers who inspire me.

But I don't just get inspiration from film or digital media.  When I started getting interested in landscape photography, my first port of call was to look at the work of the great landscape artists and the one that resonated with me most of all was Turner.

There was just something about the way he composed his paintings, and then his treatment or interpretation of natural light.  

I don't want to come across as all pretentious, but photographers can learn a lot from studying all sorts of artwork.  I mean, I also learned a lot from studying great cinematography as well.
