hoverflies are easy

If anyone ever asks me what the best subject is to start shooting macro insects is, I always say a hoverfly.  

They are packed with detail and colour and are usually fairly compliant in that after landing they remain pretty calm and still while gathering pollen from whatever flower they have alighted on.  Just like this specimen below.
