have I missed something?
Our gardens have really looked
lovely this year.
And as the year ploughs on into
Autumn they still look spectacular. So
much so that we need to carry on maintaining and feeding the plants to keep
them at their best.
So yesterday we took a trip to
our local garden centre to get some plant food and look to see what plants we
could get for some Autumn and Winter colour.
Erm, we were greeted with what
can only be described as Christmas. Dancing
Santa’s, reindeer, tinsel, mulled wine, festive themed spirits, Christmas trees. I could go on. In short, a full scale, storm force 10, weapons
grade, good old Christmas.
Ho, ho, ho.
We’ve only just had Summer and I
was really looking forward to Autumn but it seems I have skipped a couple of
months. Have I been asleep? No. I
checked. It’s September for goodness’
sake. Time travels fast enough as one
gets older, and Christmas seems to come around every 3 weeks or so, but this is
just getting ridiculous. And it seems it’s
not just confined to our garden centre either as other shops seem to be gearing
up for the festive season.
Please. Can we just stop all this? Christmas is in December, not the tail end of
our Summer.
What next? Easter eggs in July?

I agree with you! Not even Halloween yet and they're pushing Yuletide! :(
