same name, different...erm...thingy

When I was a lad and really into my cycling I aspired to own a set of wheels built with Mavic rims.  They were French and what the professionals used so naturally I lusted after a pair.

Oh, and when I got them they were beautiful.  Campagnolo Record hubs, stainless steel spokes that glinted in the sun and grey Mavic rims.  I can see them now and am instantly transported back to my racing days.

Anyway, yesterday I bought another product labelled with that famous Mavic name.  Grey as well.  But the spokes have been replaced by propellers and the hubs with a gimbal.

Yes, I did it.  I bought ………… a drone!  Yay!!

I spent this morning setting it up and naturally the weather is now too wet and windy to fly it but hey, I’m sure I’ll get a dry, calm day soon. 

After all, it’s November in Wales.
