Capel y Baran

High up on the Baran Mountain above Pontardawe in the Swansea Valley, at the end of a grass track off a minor single track road, Capel y Baran (or Baran Chapel) and its small graveyard rests peacefully amongst its surroundings.

The stone building and its matching walls make for a perfect foreground for the late setting sun beyond the horizon.

I’m really pleased with this image made with my new lens. 

Hopefully as the days grow shorter I’ll be able to get out more at sunrise and sunset to take the photographs I enjoy most.
