the isolation diaries - week seven

Light at the end of the tunnel - or so it seems.

Tomorrow, Boris Johnson is going to let us know how the UK will transition from "lockdown" (a word incidentally that the government has never officially used) to some sense of normality.

Things in Wales though are likely to be different slightly.  The Welsh government has devolved responsibilities over health matters and is reportedly at odds with UK government so it'll be interesting to see what lies ahead for us.

Whatever, this new normal will not be anything like how things used to be.  And as someone who is deemed more vulnerable than the population at large, then it's probable that whatever is relaxed it won't apply to me.

Anyway, to take my mind off things I've embarked on an isolation "project".

I wrote some time ago about an old bike frame that I'd bought and had restored and planned to rebuild.  Well, after a mammoth session researching the original build details and then sourcing the parts needed on eBay I've started to rebuild the bike.

I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of this month and although I won't be able to ride it just yet it'll be something nice to look at for now at least.

it's a start!
