a flower over a lake

Yes, today's image is a bit "niche", but a simple image that I really like nonetheless.

I'd gone for a short stroll around Penllergaer Woods with my award-winning author friend, when I spotted this little scene.

What caught my eye was the delicate nature of the late summer / early autumn flower contrasting with the verdant, dark lake.  In editing later, I added a strong vignette to concentrate the eye on the flower even more, and I think it makes for a lovely little snapshot.
