wild flowers

I've been really enjoying my new-found photographic summer outlook this year, concentrating on the nature around my home.

When I'm able I like to go out with Dexter on a local path, and study the changes that have occurred since my previous stroll along there.  I've found that there is always something new to discover.

On my last little stroll I started by concentrating on the various species of grasses as they come into seed, but soon lapsed int my usual bout of just photographing what I could see.  

And the subject of this week's image is this gorgeous little flower and bud.
