sunrise early in the morning

I never really got the lyrics to that song.  I mean, sunrise is always early in the morning isn't it.  So what was the point of stating the bleeding obvious?

Anyway, I decided on this bonus Saturday intrusion for the simple reason of timing.  We're in the middle of our second heatwave of the summer, and I wanted to post these images while it was still sunny outside.

This past Wednesday it was so hot that I just couldn't sleep at all.  I couldn't relax even and by 5am I'd had enough and decided to just get up and get outside.  But what to do?  I settled on grabbing my camera and making the short walk to the top of the field opposite my house to photograph a ramshackle old barn in the dawn light.

This not only yielded two images, but managed to cool me down as there was a lovely cool breeze at the top of the field.
