exploring new frontiers
Not me - but the tiny snail that is the subject of this week's post!
I was cutting back an ivy in the front garden when all of a sudden I spotted this little snail. It can't have been more than 5mm in length and I was lucky, or rather it was lucky, that I spotted it just in time before my secateurs ploughed through its shell.
Anyway, I moved it to a much safer place and then watched for a while as it settled onto a leaf in its new home.
Then I rushed (well, you have to with snails) to get my camera and snapped this lovely image of it exploring its new surroundings. I think it tells such a lovely story.

This week's video has nothing at all to do with snails - other than the pace you can see me walking at as I take a stroll in nature with my phone as my main camera after seemingly everything else has gone wrong.
I wonder what kind of stories he's going to tell his family??? "Guys! You're never going to believe this! A HUGE ET came along and abducted me and then put me down in the wrong place!" Does the snail world have extraterrestrials? HAHAHAHAHA
