the need to keep busy

While the summer months may not be the photographic nadir they once were since I became a master of macro image making (ha!!), they are nonetheless the most difficult months for me.

Fatigue and pain mean I'm usually laying down by 7pm at the latest which, when it's still light outdoors, is tricky during this period.  Sometimes I fall asleep, waking only to take my medication, but more often than not I lie there awake.

I pass my time watching some YouTube, editing photographs both old and new from my library or reading.  But this year I needed something else to occupy my time.

So, I decided to write another e-book.

expect this sort of thing...

It takes a look at the past year of photographing my local patch of nature along with my garden, and is completely different from my first two publications which were largely based around landscape and seascape photography.

I've curated forty of my favourite images and have cobbled some text together to accompany them!  And the book is available for free in the resources section of this blog.  Please, go ahead and have a look.

Tech Tuesday videos are back to normal this week - no more fountain pens, for now at least! Instead watch in amazement as I reveal the best budget Fujifilm camera to buy.
