it's becoming more of a struggle

I've been finding lately that I'm getting increasingly and more easily tired.  And that walking even short distances is taking its toll physically, resulting in lower back and leg pain, and a desire to just lie down and do nothing.

Now, this is something I've been kind of dreading, as getting out and about (no matter how slowly) has really helped to keep me going and given me a purpose in life.  After all, I've never been one to just give in.

The day after my birthday I made the short stroll to our local patch of woodland (which we've now christened Nuthatch Woods) and the walk there and back took me an absolute age; well over an hour for what is in reality a ten minute jaunt.

Anyway, make it there I did and got this lovely little image of a nuthatch.

If you want to see more images from our morning out and find out why we've named it Nuthatch Woods (as if you can't already guess!) then click on the video below:

I honestly don't know how much longer I'll be able to continue making these walks, either here or along my other favourite nature trail or to places like Craig y Nos Country Park.  But I'll carry on until it becomes physically impossible.
