through the looking grass
Just lately I have become obsessed with a particular photographic technique. But what is this groundbreaking method you're all no doubt wondering.
Well, wonder no more. It's simply the act (or art if you will) of photographing a subject through a foreground element such as grass or some other foliage using a wide open aperture to blur everything except the subject itself. The end result is a dreamy, ethereal, softer image that can look really quite attractive.
Here are two such images (yes, I know one is a dandelion!)
