Well, a moth!  

But when you see the picture I got you might well agree that it looks a little alien-like?

I spotted this little creature, no more than one centimetre across its entire body, after it had landed in a hedgerow near my home.  After waiting a while to see if it would settle, I got as close as I could and fired off a handheld focus bracket, moving the camera slightly while it was shooting in high speed burst mode.

It's not perfect, but as this is a new technique to me - one I am still very much learning - I'm more than happy with the final result.
