sun's out, bugs out

At time of writing (10 May) we have had an exceptionally and extremely unusual spell of dry weather, with hardly a day of rain since mid-February.  And it's been unseasonably warm.  Great for bringing out the tiny insects in my garden!

These images are of a wasp species known as dusona.  It's tiny - less than 1 centimetre in length and taking up very few of my camera sensor's pixels!  Still impossible to get the whole thing in focus though as I had to get really very close to get these images.

All images were shot with my Fujifilm X-H2 and Laowa 65mm f2,8 ultra-macro lens at its widest aperture and with an ISO of 125.
