The Christmas and New Year period was a pretty miserable one for me.  I spent it largely in bed with a chest infection and horrendous cough, missing out on all the usual festivities and food.

I did though manage to get out into the garden for a few minutes on New Year's Eve and, thanks to my daughter spotting this leaf while topping up our bird feeders, snapped the image:
