an alternative view
Now you all know I love taking pictures at the coast.
But this one is a little different. It’s not a dreamy long exposure sunrise shot. It’s not my trademark three-layered composition (sky, sea, land!).
Instead I took this image of Limeslade Bay with my drone.
We may not have had crystal clear blue seas that day, but our beaches here are among the World’s cleanest, and because of that I love the honesty of this image. It’s all about textures for me, with the breaking wave providing the demarcation between sea and the beach.
The subdued tricolour nature of the image makes it almost seem like the sea is being “peeled” back to reveal the land.
