the simplest things

I’m in the middle of my “Landscape Photography from A Car” project.

In case you don’t know. it’s me driving around trying to make landscape images that hopefully look remote but are actually taken within just a few steps of my car.

This image though has taken the philosophy behind my project to extremes though!

This leaf was literally outside my car as I opened the door to get out. All I had to do was reach for my phone (I didn’t even want to get my camera from the boot), frame the leaf and take the picture.

I particularly like the texture in the rock - especially the bit to the right that almost mimics the leaf itself - and of course the stark contrast between it and the leaf.

If only all the images were that simple.

Oh, by the way, if you're interested in winning one of my prints, head over to my latest video and find out how!
