distant memories

For this week’s picture I’ve trawled my image archives and dug this up from July 2011.

We were on our family holiday in San Antonio, Ibiza; an area famed for its spectacular sunsets.  The world-famous Café del Mar is a stone’s throw from where I took this photo.

I used my second ever digital camera to get the shot: an early Fujifilm point and shoot effort with a massive 7 megapixel sensor!  Anyway, as they say, it's not about size, it's what you do with it that counts!

The subject is the old, well worn boat sheds at Cala Gracio, and I went there to take an image of the setting sun just kissing the wood and the rocks, lighting them up in this lovely golden glow.

And then I went back to the hotel for a lovely golden lager!
