stacked

After last week’s journey back in time, this week’s image is slap bang up to date.

It was taken at Limeslade Bay, a location I return to time and again to take pictures.  I love it there.

But this isn’t a sweeping vista, it’s a far more intimate scene.

The bay benefits from huge rocky outcrops and countless pebbles of all shapes and sizes.  And this purple pebble looked really good on the grey of the rock I placed it on.  Yes, I created the scene!

I then shot four images each focused at different parts of the scene and later stacked them in Photoshop to ensure overall sharpness throughout the whole image.  I also cropped the image to a square and placed the pebble right in the middle of the image to emphasise its contrast.

After all, rules (of composition) are there to be broken!
