another disaster

Now I know I've harped on on here about my lack of good fortune over the past few years.

Well, it's extending.

I met up with an old friend last weekend and while driving away from his house I managed somehow to drive into a fence post at the side of the road.

My beautiful Audi now has its first battle-scar after 2 years of being pampered, polished and preened.

I guess no one was hurt which is the main thing, but my bumper (or fender for those who have strange words for things!!) and my pride have taken a knock.  I really look after everything I possess so that when I eventually pass it on it looks like it's brand new and just out of its box.

So this hurts.  A lot.

Anyway, it can be fixed - and that is my job for this week.  I just hope it doesn't cost me a small fortune to put right.
