I worked for my employer for 32 years or so.  Most of it I spent in a beautiful, old, art décor building filled with wonderful architecture.  I love the old Guildhall in Swansea and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I wonder how many people can say that about the place they went every day for years to work.

Anyway, I digress.  The last couple of years of my working life were spent in a monstrosity of 1970s architecture with its only redeeming feature being its sea-front location.

and its Civic Centre - not quite so homely

But a few weeks ago, I had reason to re-visit that place and noticed something I never previously had: the roof!

It’s really interesting and made for a fascinating abstract image.  I only had my phone with me, but as long as you recognise its limitations it takes really nice pictures; and I got this one (yes it's time for this week's image at last).

Sometimes beauty is more than skin deep, and you just have to look for it in the most unexpected of locations!
