don't look back (in anger)

I’m not usually one for dwelling in the past.

But the other day, with nothing better to do in the glum, wet, windy South Wales weather I decided to look back into the now over five years of blog posts to see what I published at around this time in the past.

Well, a year ago I wrote about how my lovely dog Dexter looks after me.  The year before it was all about dark energy and the snake-oil that is quantum physics.

2017 saw me lament the furnace like temperatures in men’s changing rooms while trying on trousers; 2016 was about me being a brave little soldier and standing up to my cancer.

February 2015 - a visit from Corinne & John while recovering in hospital

And on 18 February 2015, while this blog was still in its infancy and I didn’t know if it or even I had a future, rather ironically I wrote about looking back at the previous “annus horriibilis” and much more importantly about looking forward.

So, I’m glad I took this little journey back in time.  It only seems like yesterday that I wrote that 2015 post.

Time really does fly.

  2. OMG it does...yes it does. That’s all I can add at the moment without becoming emotional. I’m about to become a Grandfather. There..I’ve said it out loud!

    1. Thanks Nick! She's arrived (March 3rd) and is healthy and beautiful, thank God! Her name is Camila Victoria. Unfortunately, she was born into difficult times ( Corono Covid-19 is raging) so we've had limited contact with her even though she's only 3 miles away. Since I'm immune- compromised I have to be particularly careful. I hope all is well with you and yours. I've been reading about cases in Wales.
