a really golden golden hour

Back to Porthcawl again for this week's image taken back on 6th February (yes, I'm that far ahead with these posts!).

Anyway, I'd been there the previous evening to photograph the sun setting over the town beach there, and on my way back to the car spotted this composition.  Unfortunately though, the light had gone so I just had to return.

I caught this image just as the sun was kissing the southern horizon, lighting up the sea wall and lighthouse in brilliant, golden light the like of which I have seldom seen.  It made up for the soaking I got taking my images that evening, as I'd forgotten my wellingtons and the tide was rushing in!

  2. Another wonderful seascape Nick...going nuts here as well...being in the New York Metro Region, we're currently in Covid-19's crosshairs...I've been isolating for over two weeks because of my compromised immunity, and we're finding novel ways and sources to get food and supplies. A challenging hassle. But I've also been dedicating my isolation to getting things done, for example, tearing apart, cleaning out, and recomfiguring my little home office. Take care of yourself my friend.
