the isolation diaries - week fifteen

Welcome to the fifteenth, and last for now at least, isolation diary entry.

My reasons for stopping?  Well, I'm still instructed to shield, or isolate if you like, but from Monday we are able now to travel more than five miles from our homes and I intend to take full advantage of this relaxation in our regulations.

less of this...
I'm still going to make sure I don't come into contact with anyone else outside my family though, so any excursions will be to places I know to be quiet and at quiet times of the day.  I've avoided touching things such as hand rails when out for years now, so that shouldn't be a problem and I shan't be frequenting any cafes or the like if they are open.

Oh, and of course, I'll be wearing a mask to cover my mouth and nose.

In short then, I'm still going to be extremely careful but I feel that remaining at home for much longer is going to affect my mental health negatively.
...and more of this!

As I've written before, life now is all about weighing risk, and factors to mitigate it against the end reward.  For me, the risk of being outdoors and interacting with as few other people as possible is worth the reward of breathing sea or mountain air and taking some pictures again.

Now, I'm not going to go berserk and go off into the remotest mountain or beach.  I'm still going to be safe.  I don't want to be in the position of having to call on anyone, least of all our emergency services, for any help.

So, for now anyway until they inevitably reverse these new rules (!!) my blog returns to its usual Monday, Thursday, Monday routine.

I bet you're as glad as I am?!

hopefully my last lockdown / isolation / shielding image for some time
