a complete departure

No, not from reality (like, oh I don't know, a world leader in the middle of a pandemic advertising beans from his office) but instead a totally different style of image and one I seldom make or a genre I rarely explore.

At the start of the year I signed up for a photography course with the sole intention of stretching my imagination. And I came up with these:

All these were shot in my kitchen and using household things.  I think my favourite of the four is the pencils.

I had to exhibit these in front of my class and given they are nowhere near the style of photography I usually practice that was quite a scary moment.  It was almost like baring my soul, and it feels pretty much the same sharing them on here!
