a crop of a crop of a crop
An old image re-visited this week.
I was looking back at the images I shot last year in Kent and came across the picture I shot (by mistake actually!) of some wheat.

I looked at it as I wanted to challenge my sister to recreate it (and do it better) but thanks to crop rotation (of the actual wheat, not the photograph!) this wasn't possible.
So, I set about seeing if I could make my original image better. And I think I can. By cropping in further (to a 17:6 aspect ratio usually reserved for panoramas) into a photo that was already cropped. Are you still following?
This is the beauty of having a lot of megapixels to start with. even after cropping, and cropping again, the picture of this crop (of wheat) still retains sufficient resolution to stand close scrutiny.

Do you agree that the image is improved? Or is it just a load of old crop?
They both have merit but you know I'm partial to macros!!! :)
