mother of God

I don't watch an awful lot of TV.  Outside of cycling and Gardener's World my eyes firmly remain unsquare!

My family though watches a lot.  And they were always raving about a police anti-corruption drama called Line of Duty.

Under great duress I watched the first episode of series one.  And that was it.  I was hooked in by excellent writing, stories and acting.  So much so I binge-watched the first five series to catch up with my two amateur sleuths, along with the first three of the current, sixth series.

We now watch it together and it is absolutely unmissable.  And that's saying a lot for a non-TV fan like me.

Every week we are left with a genius of a cliff hanger, with fans imploring the BBC in their thousands to show the next episode straight away as they can't face the wait to find out what's going to happen.

I wrote last week about the genius of Fawlty Towers, another BBC programme.  When they get it right, our license fee is worth every single penny.

If you can, watch Line of Duty on BBC iPlayer.  If you can't, get a VPN so you can pretend to be in the UK and watch it.  I implore you.  It is that good.

In case you do decide to watch it, "H" is………

…...as if I'd tell you!
