apologies for the Tuesday intrusion...

...but I just had to share some images from the past weekend with you.

Most times I go out with my camera and try as I might I just don't come away with any sort of image I'm happy with.  Especially with my macro stuff as focus is so critical to a successful image and my old eyes simply aren't up to the task any more.  Well, not at the speed required for capturing insects.

But just last Sunday I took Dexter for a stroll in the fields opposite my home, and came away with five (yes five!) images that I was really, really happy with.

Add to that another one captured in my garden and I got an unhealthy number of keepers.  The Gods must have been smiling down on me!

Sometimes you just get lucky.  Not often, but when it happens it's all the sweeter!
