I am what you would call a "completist"

I've always been a collector.  Mostly of music, like albums, series of books, etc.

Being a keen photographer, I of course have a collection of cameras and lenses, all of which get put to use.

My main weapons of choice are Fujifilm cameras and lenses.  I enjoy their form factor and ergonomics - they have a very "retro" feel and design with old school knobs and dials instead of doing everything "by wire" (although this in truth is how they operate behind their classic facade!).

OK, OK, so I have a problem...

Another appeal that Fujifilm has for me is the sensors they use in their cameras.  They are different, and are known as "X-Trans" ones.  There have been five generations since Fujifilm began their X-Trans journey, and until recently I owned four of them, with the only exception being a camera fitted with an X-Trans 2 sensor.

Well, everyone, that has been rectified and my position as a boring completist confirmed with my purchase of a (rather confusingly) X-T10 camera, fitted with Fujifilm's apparently legendary X-Trans 2 sensor.  It's said to produce the best images, with a real nostalgic nod to old film cameras and film stocks.

Of course, I'm planning a massive exercise now to compare all five sensors, so keep an eye out for that in the (probably not so near) future.

In the meantime, you can watch my video introducing this latest addition to my camera collection just by clicking below.
